Star Wars Boxed

While Kenner's action figures were undeniably at the center of the vintage Star Wars line, it was the often far more expensive vehicles, playsets and accessories that helped to flesh out the play patterns that saw them dominate the toy industry landscape for the better part of  9 years. Many rival the most expensive packaged action figures for rarity. Were in not for the Lucasfilm warehouse clean out and public auction of the early 2000s, they would be even scarcer.

Variations exist for many, beyond the different logo updates they saw. The Millennium Falcon was arguably the line's biggest success, and its package featured two different designs (1979 and 80) before it was altered more substantially for a 3rd time  in 1981, and then for a 4th time in 1983. ESB staples such as the X-Wing, Tie Fighter, At-At and At-St saw refreshed box fronts for Return of the Jedi.
